Steamed momos with hot chutney





            Hi friends...!!i am back to see you all again...☺with one amazing Asian recipe...yes!!!all our love"momos" 
  There are many types of momos in the world...like boiled,fried and steamed.And they are differentiated by stuffing like chicken momos,vegetable momos,mushroom momos etc...,,Today we try very basic raw vegetable momos with hot chutney.








MOMOS:


INGREDIENT:

For Dough:

  •  Maida – 2 cups
  •  Oil – 1 tsp
  •  Salt – 1/2 tsp

For Filling:

  •  Onions, chopped – 1 medium
  •  Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  •  Carrots, grated – 1 cup
  •  Cabbage, grated
  •  Bell pepper, chopped – 5 tbsp
  •  Spring onions – 2 tbsp + 1 tbsp
  •  Chilies, chopped – 1 tbsp or as per taste
  •  Soy sauce – 1 tsp
  •  Salt to taste
  •  Black pepper – 1 tsp
  •  Oil – 1 tbsp

METHOD:

FOR DOUGH:
  1. Combine all-purpose flour, salt, and oil in a mixing bowl. Mix well.
  2.  Add milk and mix well again.(OPTIONAL)
  3.  Now add enough water to make a smooth dough, just like the chapati dough.
  4.  Cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes.
FOR FILLING:
  1.  Heat oil in a pan.
  2.  Add the chopped onions and saute for 2 minutes.
  3.  Now add ginger garlic paste and stir well.
  4.  Now add grated carrots, grated cabbage, chopped bell pepper, and 2 tbsp sliced spring onions greens.
  5.  Stir well and cook on high heat for 3 mins.
  6.  Turn off the heat, and add the soy sauce, salt, black pepper, and 1 tbsp spring onions greens.
  7.  Let it cool.
FOR DUMPLINGS:

  2. After making dumplings fill it with our mix.
  3. And placed it in steamer for 10mins.
  4. Serve with our spicy momos chutney.




SPICY MOMOS CHUTNEY:

INGREDIENT:

  •  Tomato – 4 medium
  •  Dried Red chilies – 8-10 
  •  Garlic 3-4
  •  Ginger – 1 inch piece
  •  Soy sauce – 1/4 tsp
  •  Vinegar – 1 tbsp
  •  Sugar – 2 tsp
  •  Salt to taste

METHOD:

  1. Add tomatoes and red chilies to the hot water and boil on high for 5-6 minutes or until tomatoes skin start to peel off.
  2. Turn off the heat.
  3.  Let it cool down.
  4.  Remove the tomato skin and drain the excess water.
  5.  Transfer peeled tomatoes, cooked dried red chilies, salt, sugar, ground black pepper, ginger, garlic, and vinegar.
  6.  Blend to make a smooth puree.
  7.  Serve with momos.
